The very first Abt version of the TT 8N was the Abt TT-limited, produced in limited numbers (approximately 25 units). As Abt writes, “straight from the racetrack to the street”.
The Abt TT-limited was available with either 180 hp or 225 hp, as desired. It featured modifications to the chassis, rims, interior and a body kit. Orders could be placed at Audi dealers or directly with ABT. In addition to the purchase price of the new car, a fee of € 12,989* had to be paid to benefit from the ABT TT Limited chassis/body modifications.
Motortuning was optioneel:
- € 2,959* to go from 180 hp to 205 hp
- € 1,893* to go from 225 hp to 250 hp
In addition, Abt had the option of tuning the engine of the 1.8T 180 hp / 235 Nm to 260 hp / 380 Nm and the 225 hp version to as much as 310 hp / 400 Nm. However, this required not only modifications to the engine management and exhaust system, but also modifications to the turbocharger and associated cooler, among other things. In addition, the 310 hp version had slightly longer 3rd to 6th gears and modified brakes. This resulted in a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and a total price of € 59,800* (the standard 255 hp Coupé cost € 34,400*).

- ‘TT-Limited’ logo above side indicators and on diffuser

Abt modifications also available separately Because many of the Abt modifications were also available separately, Abt versions regularly appeared on the market. Sometimes they were offered as one of a series of special versions. However, they often lacked some of the specific features of the limited editions. |
