In August 2001, a Limited Edition 2001 was produced for the Netherlands in an edition of 40 units based on the 180 or 225 hp Coupé. The additional price of the Limited Edition 2001  was 6,950 guilders (about € 3,154) compared to the base version. The most distinguishing factor was the colours that were available, especially Mingblau-Perleffekt LZ5L which never became part of the standard colour palette. The ‘Limited Edition 2001’ came with a specific key fob, which unfortunately disappeared in time on most of them.

The equipment of the Limited Edition 2001 was distinguished by:

Interior equipment

  • 'Limited Edition 2001' name and number plate on the glove box
  • Limited Edition key ring

Exterior equipment

  • Aluminium wheels 8Jx18 in 9-spoke design
  • Sports suspension 20 mm lowered

Paint colours

  • Avussilber-Perleffekt LY7J
  • Misanorot-Perleffekt LZ3M
  • Mingblau-Perleffekt LZ5L
