 What a fantastic version! The limited-series Roadster Hardtop Talisman was there specifically for the German market, but fortunately we spotted it as an import in the Netherlands too. This gem was produced in 2001 in an unknown but certainly limited number of units, based on the 180 hp and the 225 hp quattro Roadster. In March that year, the Talisman was launched in Germany for just €30,600* (180 hp) or €36,300* (225 hp quattro).

What makes this version truly unique is, of course, its dazzling soft green colour, reminiscent of the exclusive One-Off The Tailormade Audi. Another great feature is the standard hardtop (which unfortunately often no longer comes with the car), which was touted in the brochure as:



The Audi TT Hardtop completely redefines the roadster feeling. Its plastic roof on an aluminium space frame ensures safety and flexibility. The rear window can be heated and offers all the benefits of an enclosed car. Inside, the hardtop is lined with fabric, enveloping the driver in ambience. This makes the Roadster versatile and gives its owner maximum independence - anytime, anywhere.



To this day, it is unfortunately unknown how many were produced. This is despite the fact that the brochure talks about a ‘limitierter Auflage’.  A proud German owner provided the pictures below of his Audi TT Hardtop Talisman:

A number of Audi TT Hardtop Talisman have now been imported in the Netherlands as well. As far as we know, there are at least 2 on Dutch registration plates. One of them is still on the original Talisman rims (17-inch in 6-arm design). A rim that has since been replaced by another type of rim on many Talisman.
