If Peter Schreyer, the then Audi chief designer, had to choose a favourite colour for the TT, it would definitely be Nimbusgrau (LZ7X). In a recent interview* with Autobild, he still stated: ‘I love Nimbusgrau’. This solid colour was the Roadster's presentation colour at the time. ‘Then fashion designer Ralph Lauren called me and he liked the colour,’ says Schreyer in the same interview.
