A total of 265,598 units of the TT 8N were built. All made in Hungary's Györ. Some details of these numbers:

• The peak was in 1999 and 2000
• 178,838 were a Coupé
• 90,760 were a Roadster
• 14,490 units had the 3.2 VR6 under the bonnet divided into:
  - 10,370 Coupé
  - 4,120 Roadster

• 1,165 units were the Quattro Sport. Only 265 of these were left-hand drive.
