The second version from August 2000 onwards has a straighter transition between steering wheel and airbag. In addition, the first version has a redAudi logo at the bottom of the steering wheel.

There are also steering wheels for the TTs with TipTronic and DSG automatics, where it is possible to shift gears on the steering wheel. These have the same transition between steering wheel and airbag as the 2nd version.

Based on generation, colour leather, stitching, and shift functionality, there ended up being more than 30 variants of TT steering wheels. In the last 2 years of production alone, there are no less than 32 variants in the parts catalogue (ETKA).
