For the interior, there was again plenty of choice. In which the TT was positioned fairly luxurious for the time, with leather-alcantara as standard and a free upgrade to full leather. Something that was not standard in the Golf and A3 class. In the overviews below, a timeline of the different upholstery and colour variants.

Fabric/leather variants of the Audi TT
Outside the 110 / 120 kW base version, every TT 8N had alcantara / leather upholstery combination as standard. But for enthusiasts, an upgrade to full leather upholstery was possible at no extra cost. The reason why you come across many TT's with leather upholstery

Alternative options

For other ‘enthusiasts’, in the first few years you could also downgrade to a fabric TT/leather upholstery combination for free. As you rarely come across this, it was a not much chosen option

In addition, the Authentic option was also available for the Roadster at extra cost. Initially only in the Moccasin colour. From mid-2002 also in black.

Changes from mid-2002

Fabric TT/leather upholstery came to an end and became all-fabric upholstery for the 110 kW version of the Roadster. A rare occurrence as most TTs were sold with heavier motorisation.

With the arrival of the S line, the Audi fabric ‘Speed’ / leather combination also came with the S line package. A combination seen on many Audi models.

Upholstery colour variation
The variants were available in many colours with again slight differences between the Coupé and Roadster.

Via Audi exclusive (quattro GmbH) pretty much anything was possible. Like violet or yellow or the Authentic in different colours and a different lace colour or a centre stripe in a different colour. Which ultimately made the combinations infinite.
A huge number were collected at www.camblin.fr/TT-MK1/html/coloris/selleries.html.
